Classical Drawing

I feel as though I haven't drawn in forever! This week part of our assignment was to complete the following classical drawing as close to the sample as possible. I can see I am out of practice but at least this pulled me back to the drawing board.










GSES Art Show

We have had quite a busy year! Making tapestry with 4 year olds: 
Mixing pastels is so much fun in Pre-K!

Early learners experimented and painted gorgeous butterflies!
2nd grade was challenged by this Chinese tissue paper kite project, which requires the student to think backwards and learn to layer.
Who knew teaching color theory to Kindergarten and pre-K students could be so beautiful?
Lessons in looking and learning about famous artists! 
Students made their own creations based on ideas of artists in history.
Cityscapes at night and learning to use rulers to draft was a hit with 2nd grade students. 
1st Grade students got creative and invented imaginary bugs!

Students used: Line, foreground middle background, warm and cool colors to create spring landscapes

Artigras was a success as we had 1 finalist and a runner up!
Kindergarteners recycled bottle caps to create spring flowers
