Crayola.com has coloring sheets that I used for this.
I enlarged the sheets in illustrator and then printed them.
Students colored them with markers then cut them out. They were given blue paper to paint fireworks on. The used the opposite end of the paintbrush to dip into paint and make the fireworks.
Then they pasted the marker drawing to the firework paper.
